In 1995 my husband wanted a Malamute that could ride with him during the day on his work route. We compromised on size and purchased our first Siberian. With my dream of someday competing in the Westminster Dog Show, I wanted a show dog. Having zero knowledge about showing dogs or what I was looking for in a show dog I called the local Siberian Husky club and was given a few names of breeders in the surrounding area. Thus began a life long friendship with Belinda Yager of Camton Kennels and our first Siberian show dog, CH Camton's Ice Ice Baby (Ice). I remember Belinda's husband, Billy, telling us as we walked out the door, "See you next time when you pick up your second puppy. You know you can't have just one". He was so right. Fifteen years later we have four generations of champion show dogs and continue to compete in the confirmation ring exclusively out of the BBE class. We have had some pretty exciting wins with several of our Siberians throughout the years. Winning WD/BW and Best Bred-by Exhibitor at the 2007 National Specialty which finished Carter’s championship was an honor as was winning Best BBE Siberian at our first Eukanuba National Championship in 2007 with Reese. We have enjoyed several Specialty wins from WD/WB to BISS titles on littermates Carter and Reese all breeder/owner/handled. My life long dream of competing in the Westminster Dog Show seems just around the corner. We have met some of the most remarkable individuals through our show journey and produced a line that has improved with each breeding. Thank you Belinda for taking us under your wing and introducing us to one of the most challenging and rewarding hobbies around. We would not be where we are without your patience, knowledge and remarkable friendship. |
